OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY
A contemporary woman has umpteen responsibilities on her shoulders -as a daughter,  as a wife, as a mother and of course as a grandmother. And not to speak of her official duties as a teacher, as a professor, as an office staff and what not.

While she plays due attention to the needs of her dear children, prized husband and beloved parents and in-laws, the women sometimes forgets to attend to her own health matters. Every woman, throughout her life, does meet with many a physiological challenge in the form of puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, motherhood, birth control and of course menopause. Too many children
can be a headache, while childlessness is looked upon as a curse in our traditional society.  A large number of pregnancies, by the grace of God, have a happy ending in the form of an easy birth of a lovely baby. Unfortunately, in a few cases it is not that simple. The mother and the to-be born baby need the able hand of a caring obstetrician to give them a stable life.

The pregnant woman enters our Hospital with a great deal of pain in her body and anxiety on her mind. Within a couple of days,
she leaves the Hospital with a proud smile on her face and a handsome baby in her hands. We feel rewarded.

Kids born in our Hospital come back to us, after a couple of decades - as expectant mothers.
Women may come and women may go. Our mission goes on for ever..                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Dr. M Rajeswari Prabhu, DGO
